CNC Machining

Kaplun MFG operates a modern fleet of multi-axis CNC equipment capable of producing complex prismatic and turned components from engineering drawings to finished part. We work in aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, brass, copper, and engineering-grade plastics.

5-Axis CNC Milling

Simultaneous 5-axis interpolation for complex geometry in a single setup. ±0.0005″ positional tolerance. Table size up to 24″ × 18″.

3 & 4-Axis Milling

High-volume 3-axis production and indexed 4th-axis work for prismatic parts. Multiple VMCs running lights-out shifts.

CNC Turning / Lathe

Live-tooling CNC lathes for OD/ID turning, threading, grooving, and bar-fed production. Up to 12″ swing.

Wire EDM

Electrical discharge machining for intricate contours in hardened materials. ±0.0001″ accuracy. No heat-affected zone.

Laser Marking & Engraving

Fiber laser for permanent part marking, serial numbers, barcodes, logos, and decorative engraving on metal surfaces.

Laser Stippling

Precision laser texturing on polymer frames for enhanced grip. Custom patterns available for Glock, Sig, and other platforms.

Default tolerance for production machined parts. Tighter tolerances available on request.

Wire EDM
±0.0001″ Achievable

Wire EDM parts routinely hold ±0.0001″ with proper fixturing and temperature-controlled cutting fluid.

Surface Finish
Ra 16–125 µin

Milled surfaces from 125 µin as-machined to 16 µin ground finish. Specify on your drawing.

Inspection
CMM & First Article

Zeiss CMM for first-article and in-process inspection. FAI reports available for AS9100 / PPAP requirements.
